Audit log as part of document file

    Hi All,

I have been looking for a way to have an audit log of a word document similar to the one that can be found on this website:
    wordsite.com/newsletters/newsletter5.html

I do not need or want the other functions provided by the software.

The difference is that would like it to track all changes made to a document (add/remove texts, attachment etc, by whom and when) as well as who saved the document and where. Track changes is not enough as the "changes" can be accepted or comments removed without the next person realising. In addition, I require the log to be in chronological order (track changes will mean that I will need to go through the whole document to see which change was made when and then put them in order).

Any idea how this can be done?

    Thanks in advance

That is not something Word can do. About the only way you'll get anything approaching what you say you want is by making a backup copy every time a user saves changes to a document, then exits. Even then, a nefarious user might change the document, print the changes, then exit without saving...
