overloaded excel workbook - ETL replacement ?

hi,
the XL am using is overloaded with data and too many validation formulas for 15,000 rows. all these validations execute everytime the vba macro runs in the background or everytie i hit the save button. can you suggest a different structure to store my data? any ETL ? thanks.
