tick boxes

i have 3 tick boxes on a userform, 1 is set as true as default, theyre used to select a currency, is there anyway of making them operate so that if one of the tickboxes other than the default is selected, that the other two remain false, or unchecked.

Use option buttons rather than checkboxes, that is the way they function.
