Maybe
dim r as range, c as string c = Activecell.Entirecolumn.Address (False,False) Set rng = Intersect(Range(C),Activesheet.usedrange)
But I'd use
Set rng = Intersect(ActiveCell.EntireColumn, Activesheet.UsedRange)
