    apploadstring

I just replaced my computer after a crash, and have loaded a new computer with my apps and programs.
I use both Access 365 and Access 2010 to support my various customers.

When I try to make a design change in Access 2010 using a button, I get the following error message:
    Undefined Function: "AppLoadString" in expression

I'm like, 'Well this worked YESTERDAY!' (on my old computer)

    any suggestions or ideas?

I don't see any missing references in the library. Should I be looking for something else?

No, they should be identified there.
I googled that error and it has occurred a few times but there are no resolutions.
What does the code of the button do?
Do you get the error on all buttons?
Have you tried creating a new form & button in a brand new database?

Strangely, I walked away for a while to go to the gym. When I got back, I liked your idea, so tried another button (form close), which didn't cause the error. Then I went back to the original button (record delete), and again, no error. I love these randomly occurring errors.

So now, all appears right with the world. Go figure.

btw, I, too, googled the error and got no resolution. That's why I came on here.
