    Excel 365 - Forms Control

Today I was trying something different and I noticed that some of my Forms Controls in the Developer tab is greyed out and for the life of me I am not able to enable them? I googled and searched - nothing. The greyed out controls are Text box, Combo List and Combo Drop Down. Thanks.

    1. Check your References

    2. Stop Excel and delete C:\Users\....\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms\EXCEL.box

    3. Try again

    Paul:
You may have misunderstood. I am not doing a user form. I am trying to add the Forms Control onto the spreadsheet and the Forms Control in the Developer tab is greyed out. The last 3 icons are greyed out.

hmm, I don't know if Microsoft disabled them? I checked my Excel 2016, those controls are also greyed out!

Thanks Paul, well I used them before and I was trying to test something and then they are greyed out. Looks like MS did turned them off.
