    Can't delete addin

    Hello,

    I have created an add-in. It's being housed in my Shared Documents folder. I don't have the add-in installed. Yet when I try and delete it I get an error message 'Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.' Anybody ever come upon this before? Any suggestions? I've closed Excel, tried it, restarted Excel, tried it, but nothing.

    It's the add-in that wouldn't die ... :franky:

    perhaps for the future if the problems comes up and it is not visible you might take a dive in the registry. somewhere in the Office>>Excel>>add-in is a location where the add-ins are also mentioned. you might delete the registry key with brute force.
