Thread: missing tabs

    missing tabs

A user called me today to complain that the tabs at the top of pages that allow users to hop between screens in MS Access have disappeared. She's one of about a dozen users at this account, and none others have this problem.

Is there a setting in the setup that controls this?

You describe Tabbed Documents which is the default when creating a new database. I always change to Overlapping Windows in database Options.

Is this a split database with multiple users?
How to attach file: Reading and Posting Messages (vbaexpress.com), click Go Advanced below post edit window. To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    A) changing to "Tabbed Documents" did the trick. Somehow this session was set to "Overlapping Windows". I'd sure like to know how the settings were changed.

    B) yes, this is a split database with multiple users.

    thanks for your respohnse.

sorry I didn't display the 'solved' icon. As I stated in my reply, the response did in fact fix the problem.
please accept my apologies for being so negligent.
