    ....do the experts recommend?

    How about the training on this site?

    Is it easier to learn online or in class?

    I recommend the training here. It is easier than a classroom....

    Also, trial and error works, have a look at the KB (knowledge base) for good examples of things and sample files that you can use to get familiar with some of the concepts.
