Re: Excel 2016 scatter charts.
I spend too much time changing callout text and border colors to black. Is there a way to change the colors that appear by default when I create callouts?

I have seen discussion for changing themes, including a thread I now remember starting 8 months ago at http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/show...efault+callout
But I don't see an option for callout colors. I suspect they are included in a more general category - but I don't know what it is or how to specify it.
This method formatted the my callouts correctly.
1 RT-click a chart with correct formatting, [save as template]
2 Apply the template to a new or existing chart.
RT-Click [Change chart type]
Select [templates]
Select the template you previously created, [OK]
Result
Formats color of text & borders of callouts
Calibrates x & y axes
Removes axis titles & main title
